Your Kansas City Family Farm

Providing Quality Meat for Healthy Living

Our goal is to provide you with wholesome food by responsibly raising animals using regenerative farming methods that mimic the patterns found in nature.

Know your farmer. Know your food.

Where does your food come from?

The food we put in our bodies is important. We want it to taste good and be good for us. We also want to know where it comes from, what is in it, how was it raised, and how it is affecting the land. A product that meets those standards is seemingly hard to find these days. Maybe you are tired of being disappointed with the quality and flavor of meat from the store? You know, the ones with deceptive labels and marketing phrases that leave you wondering, "what am I really eating?".

We are a local family that cares deeply about all of those things. That's why we started our farm! We go the extra mile to provide you with nutrient-dense, clean meat. We raise our animals in a sustainable way that harkens back to a time when things were simpler and we looked to nature as the example. We practice regenerative farming methods that not only improve and heal the land but also produce healthy and happy animals. The product of these natural methods is high-quality meat that you can trust.

Our cattle graze on grasses and plants from our pastures their whole life. Even as they approach harvest, we never feed them grain. Some farms sell grass-fed beef, but they may feed them grain at the 'finish'. We raise strictly grass-fed and finished beef. This is the natural diet of cattle, and it provides you with the most nutritious meat.

Chickens and turkeys were meant to live outdoors. That may sound like an obvious statement, but nowadays most are raised in massive numbers, inside barns, in less than ideal conditions. Ours are raised outdoors, on pasture. That's why we call it pasture-raised. They live in mobile structures called range coops. These coops protect them from predators and severe weather, while still giving them access to fresh air, sunshine, plants, and bugs. We move them every single day to a fresh section of pasture. They are always on clean ground and have fresh grass to forage.

Where do pigs want to live in nature? Forest raised pork is just what it sounds like, pigs that are raised in the forest. They want to live where they can have shade and relax in a mud wallow. They enjoy munching on greens and leaves, rooting up underbrush and bugs, and savoring the fruits and nuts from the trees. These hogs are naturally cleaning up our forests. We move them every 1-2 weeks so they work the ground just enough while not being too destructive. Using hogs to improve the land makes for a healthy ecosystem and healthy meat.
